Welcome Home Our Vietnam Veterans on September 19, 2026
For many of these men and women, returning home from Vietnam meant arriving without the cheers, gratitude, and recognition they deserved. Some were never properly thanked for their service.
On September 19, we have an opportunity to change that.We want our veterans to arrive to a crowd filled with American flags, applause, smiling faces, and a heartfelt message they have waited more than 50 years to hear:
“WELCOME HOME, AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.”

The Department of Environmental Protections is encouraging Lower Chichester residents to take the following precautions regarding mosquitos especially while they are monitoring the area for West Nile Virus:
- Stay indoors during peak mosquito hours (dusk to dawn)
- Wear long sleeves, pants, and closed toes shoes, if possible.
- Wear EPA registered repellents.

Air quality monitoring Is happening around Chester, Marcus Hook, Lower and Upper Chi, and Upland Township.
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and community partners are studying how I-95 and nearby industries are affecting air quality in Southeast Delco.
