Videos below demonstrate that the Pennsylvania National Guard can and have provided valuable assistance in times of crisis over the past 3-5 years in Marple, Lancaster and across the state. The Delaware River Communities are now in crises with the closing of several major medical facilities. While we are not the largest most influential area of the state, our residents deserve the assistance from the National Guard to help manage the crises until more permanent solutions are found.

Reporting increased swarms of UAV activity in Delco to PEMA
PEMA reports that they have been "made aware of increased UAS activity in other neighboring states. Some have been categorized as flying near critical infrastructure, others as "swarms" of UAVs. Some have been reported as occurring regularly or repeatedly. If there are any similar sightings in Pennsylvania, they should be reported to the PEMA watch to build regional situation awareness." - Robert L Meinert, Director, Internal Operations, PA Emergency Management Agency.

Girls: Mondays 6:30pm to 7:30pm - every week beginning June 19th

Book donations are needed.
All children must be registered by a parent/guardian with proof of address. An ID and one bill listed at the address is required.
Per the Commissioners:
No backpacks are permitted in the youth center.

Notice of Meetings for 2025
The Board of Commissioners of Lower Chichester Township, Linwood, Delaware County, PA, will hold regular monthly meetings on the third Monday of each month at 7:30 PM on the following dates during calendar year 2025: Jan. 20, Feb. 17, March 17, April 21, May 19, June 16, July 21, Aug. 18, Sept. 15, Oct. 20, Nov. 17, Dec. 15.
The Planning Commission, Zoning Hearing Board, and Civil Service Commission, Board of Health, Fire Committee, Recreation Board and Board of Commissioners Workshop meetings will meet on an as needed basis.
The public is invited to attend these meetings. If anyone needs assistance to attend these meetings, please call the Township building at 610-485-1472 at least 3 days in advance, and a reasonable attempt will be made to accommodate you.
The public may participate in the meetings by submitting written comments to the Township via US mail or by emailing comments to lowerchitwp@comcast.net on or before the date of the meeting at 4:00 PM. Any person interested in participating in the meeting via audio should call the Township at 610-485-1472 and request information as to how to do so. Township History
Lower Chichester Township was settled in 1679, and incorporated as a township in 1682. It became a first class township in 1918. The original township was named after Chichester, an ancient city in the county of Sussex, England. That city was formerly called Cissancester, that is, the city of Cissa, because it was built by Cissa, the King of the South Saxons.
